For some of us, it has been decades since we last took drivers ed. Since then, sharrows, bike trails, bike lanes, green lanes, and other tools have been created by transportation professionals, but do we really know how to use them? In recent conversations, we have encountered a great deal of disagreement over what it meant to drive safely around bicycles.

Maybe we should have a refresher. Try this video from the League of American Bicyclists and see if you learn anything new.

We’d also heard complaints from drivers about cyclists who either cycled unsafely or made it hard to drive safely near them. We will look at that side of the puzzle in the near future.
